Library of Adaptations

About a quarter of the Nightfall episodes were either adaptations of existing stories or inspired by historical events. This page is devoted to these episodes, of which John Douglas and Len Peterson were the most prolific writers, having penned eight and five respectively.

There is an entry for each adapted story. A number of them are now in the Public Domain, so we have included those stories in their entirety for you to compare and contrast with the Nightfall version. Where a story is not in the Public Domain, not used by permission, or is based on historical events, we have included details on where you may find further information about them.

Good reading!
