          Carlson, mezzosoprano; Jose Van Dam, bassbaritone. BERLIOZ: The
          Damnation of Faust, a concertopera based on the Goethe drama.
          Also in the performance are the Chicago Symphony Chorus and the
          Glen Ellyn Children's Chorus.

VARIETY TONIGHT

  INSERT: The Cockroach Trilogy. Taped at the Young People's Theatre /
          Theatre Passe Muraille production in Toronto. Written and
          starring Alan Williams, this interesting trilogy is a funny, yet
          savage indictment of rock and roll. The 'cockroach' is out to
          destroy rock and roll music. Parts One and Two, The Cockroach
          That Ate Cincinnati, finds the 'cockroach' locked away in an
          asylum after an altercation with the barman.

NIGHTFALL

  ADD: Harris and the Mare. Bart Teilson, a 'conshie' (conscientious
       objector) in the First World War, discovers that his faith in his
       neighbors is far from reciprocal. Set in rural Ontario in 1930,
       this Good Friday special features music by Stan Rogers and
       performances by Frank Perry, Elva Mai Hoover, Hugh Webster, Arch
       McDonell, Ken James, Marian Waldman and Richard Donat. Directed by
       Bill Howell.
