Radio Host Missing

Luther Kranst, also known as Victor Rundtfunk, the mysterious host of NIGHTFALL, the horror series heard on NPR PLAYHOUSE, has disappeared.

A spokesman for the program producer informed police that Kranst, normally a secretive and dyspeptic individual, failed to keep a scheduled midnight appointment early this week at the studio where he records his segment of the program.

Private investigators traced Kranst to the lobby of an elegant, downtown Toroto hotel. Five witnesses saw him enter an elevator, but when the doors opened at the penthouse apartment of art dealer Michael Comisso, a long-time acquaintance of Kranst, the elevator was empty. The NIGHTFALL unit would like to reassure listeners that they have prerecorded Kranst for the next three programs, but can't disguise the fact that they're worried. They say they're doing everything they can to find him and claim that life without him just isn't the same.

       Meanwhile, the police investigation continues.
