Because this site is all about the creative work and intellectual property of other people, we have made an effort to recognize this in several places throughout the site. However, we also decided to add this page where content disclaimers and licensing info can be readily found if needed.

Regarding Intent: The purpose of The Nightfall-25 Project is (1) to document and preserve the history of the Nightfall series and the people involved in its production, (2) to provide a place where that information can be accessed by interested members of the General Public, and (3) to provide a resource for those studying radio drama in general and Canadian radio drama in particular.

Regarding Ownership: We recognize that the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) and the actors, writers and composers who worked on Nightfall are the sole owners of their original work. No assertion of ownership is being made by The Nightfall-25 Project over any of their material.

Regarding Profit: No profit is being made from the content of this site. The Nightfall-25 Project is, however, soliciting STRICTLY VOLUNTARY donations from visitors to cover operational costs, such as our hosting service and several of the special feature services. A running tally of donations will be kept on the site.

Regarding the CBC: While The Nightfall-25 Project does have a working relationship with several departments at the CBC -- the Reference Library, the Radio Archives, and Radio Licensing -- this should not be construed as official support for the project. There has been no official recognition of The Nightfall-25 Project by the CBC.

Regarding NPR: While The Nightfall-25 Project has received documents and information from several departments at National Public Radio (NPR) over the past couple of years -- the NPR Playhouse records library, Performance Programming, and Research & Marketing -- this should not be construed as official support for the project. There has been no official recognition of The Nightfall-25 Project by NPR.

Content: There is no material on this site at present which is licensed from or approved by the CBC or by NPR. We have several items pending, however.
