Welcome ... to the Edge!
You stand at the rim of the abyss, gazing out over ...
nothing. Your fear mounts as you are compelled to move closer, to look
deeper into the darkness. Your mind races as the many possible outcomes
of your next step are considered. Your foot wavers above the abyss, and
then --
-- you are falling, lost in the misty realm of your dreams.
You see nothing clearly, yet it is frighteningly familiar. You feel terror
swell in your throat, but force it back down. It's
only a dream, you say
to yourself. Dreams aren't real. They
can't hurt me. There's no reason for me to panic.
And then, dark locks in: it's NIGHTFALL.
Now, you scream...

April 9th, 2006: My sincerest apologies
to everyone for allowing development of the site to lapse for so long.
I have been trying to balance a new career as a radio drama producer with
my duty to The Nightfall-25 Project and
I'm afraid I've not been very successful. I hope to focus a little bit
this month on the site and will try my best to get it caught up before
the 25th anniversary of the end of the show's first season. Please bear
with me. Thank you.

that we have been unable to locate for interviews is
now up.
June 28th, 2005: A page soliciting donations

June 27th, 2005: With only a week left
until launch, we're beginning to feel a sense of anxiety, worrying we'll
not have everything ready on time. We really do have a lot of
things done and people who've all ready been here to look around have
been impressed. It would be nice to have everything we wanted ready to
go, but we know that's only our ideal goal. Still, we'll make our best
effort.
June 22nd, 2005: We now have a more functional
Episode Guide,
where each season has its own parent frame, allowing for two new frames
to open up at the same time from the navigation bar.
June 20th, 2005: We've been having a
difficult time deciding on the design of the main interface page. We liked
the QuickGuide, but we also felt a welcome page was important for first-time
visitors, as was a brief explanation of the series. Then there was the
idea that having very recent additions/changes should also show up on
the first page. So finally, this is what we came up with: Your welcome
message at the top, the QuickGuide (retaining the popular skull and hit
counter) in its own box on the right, and lastest news and developments
here. The only aspect we haven't covered is a short explanation of the
series. We're working on that.
June 18th, 2005: Work continues as we
prepare the site for the 25th anniversary launch on July 4th. The Press
Release page is now up with 6 CBC press releases; more are on the
way. There will also be a handful of NPR press releases coming sometime
in the next week or so. |
